The twin passions that have shown up consistently throughout my life are self-knowledge and healing. How does healing happen in relationship? How does one person help foster growth for another? What elements of the world are conspiring for our health and wholeness? These questions have guided my work and life choices.
In 1993 I graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia, and I have worked in foster care and part time as a psychotherapist. In 2006 I graduated from the Haden Institute’s Dream Group Leadership Training program, in 2014 I completed 80 hours of training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and in 2017 I dedicated myself to ministerial life when I was ordained and became a graduate of One Spirit Interfaith Seminary.
My work now revolves around a unique form of spiritual companionship I call “Sacred Listening.”  In a Sacred Listening session, all aspects of the self are invited into the session: thoughts, feelings, body sensations, images, dream images, dilemmas, gifts, problems, memories and life stories are all tended to. I also give talks and lead workshops on dreams, Sacred Listening and mindfulness, and I enjoy leading sacred ceremonies, such as weddings, memorial services and baby blessings.
